The annual Lee Regatta takes place this weekend on Saturday 20th May at the Marina in Cork City. This is a non-status event held over 500m, with racing commencing at 9:30am and running through to 6:00pm that evening. Over 400 crews, along with their coaches and families, will be participating in this year’s Regatta, which takes place on the stretch of water in front of the Clubhouse on the River Lee.
This is a great family day out, hosted by Lee Rowing Club, and all visitors are welcome. Visitors to the regatta can take the opportunity to visit the club, chat to the members, and see what a great sport rowing is for fitness and enjoyment.
This year, all J14, J15, J16, Novice and Masters races will be straight finals, with J18 and Club 2 being the only events to consist of both heats and finals.
Full information including draw and timetable can be found here.
The best of luck to all rowers, coaches, volunteers and organisers on the day, many of whom will be participating in their first Regatta.
