i)Name Change – Coastal and Offshore Director to be changed to Coastal Director (encompassing the full discipline of Coastal Rowing and bringing it in line with World Rowing and international standards).
ii)To change the renewal date of the term of President from 2028 to 2029 and in 4 -year cycles afterwards. Article 84 of the constitution set out that the President would be elected in 4 year cycles to match the Olympic cycles (2024/2028) etc. In practice, the President would serve through 2028 and the new President elected at the 2029 AGM. This would allow the President to fulfil all ceremonial duties associated with the role and would better facilitate an earlier AGM annually.
The proposed wording in article 84 would delete the word President from the line beginning 2028 and add a new line with 2029: President. Any changes to the name of the other Directors would similarly be updated throughout.
Election of President.
Election of Company Secretary.
