Rowing Ireland is now recruiting for our 2025 Commentary Team to support the live stream coverage of two of the biggest events in the domestic rowing calendar: the Irish Rowing Championships and the 1K Classic.
With over 20,000 attendees onsite and 41,000+ live stream views at home, we are committed to delivering a broadcast of the highest standard. We aim to provide audiences, both in person and online, with engaging, insightful, and professional commentary that captures the excitement of the day.
To support this, we encourage all interested individuals to gain hands-on experience at upcoming local regattas. Candidates will be asked to submit a short sample commentary recording as part of the application process.
Two commentary training sessions will be held in advance of the events (dates to be confirmed), offering guidance and support to help develop your skills ahead of the Championships and 1K Classic.
Guidance and feedback will be provided by Rowing Ireland’s Championships Production Team to ensure a consistent, professional, and high-quality standard throughout.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved behind the scenes, develop your skills, and help deliver an outstanding live experience for rowing fans, both at home and onsite.
