Social (or non-competitive) rowing is the ideal opportunity for you to learn how to row and there are a number of clubs across Ireland who have social rowing opportunities for adults who would like to learn how to row and would like to row for pleasure.
Here are a list of the clubs nationwide currently offering social rowing to adults:
Phoenix RC – with ongoing weekly introductory sessions – all welcome
Shandon Boat Club, Cork City – social rowing for adults
Cork Boat Club, Cork City – social rowing for adults
Workmens Rowing Club, Killarney – Rowing on Sunday mornings during winter months and nightly in summer.

Tralee Rowing Club, Tralee – offering gym facilities and water time to those who are interested in learning to row and building their fitness
Lagan Scullers Club – social sculling and non-competitive activity weekly
Portadown Boat Club – train Tue and Thur evenings, and Sunday mornings. The next 4 week-beginner sessions starts September 14 (£20)
Limerick Boat Club – run weekend recreational rowing with fitness classes during the week.
Graiguenamanagh Rowing Club – train beginners: Sunday mornings at 9.30am
