Temporary Assistant Rowing Coach (1 year with possible extension)
Salary £15,000 – £18,000.
Enniskillen Royal Boat Club is currently the top junior boat club in Northern Ireland and Ireland. The club has currently over 100 boys and girls rowing and is set to continue to grow even further in the future. It is driven by an enthusiastic team of coaches and has athletes who are competitive, keen to learn and fun to work with.
The Boat Club, which is based in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland, has an opportunity for an enthusiastic assistant rowing coach to work alongside the Head of Rowing and be able to start work in the coming weeks. The person appointed will assist the Head of Rowing with the coaching of boys and girls from J13 to J18, assist with the administration of the Club and help in the maintenance of the Club’s fleet of boats. Hours of work will be primarily in the afternoons during the week and on Saturday mornings, but it will be expected that the person appointed will seek to integrate into the day-to-day life of the school.
The person appointed must be able to coach both rowing and sculling, have a real passion for the sport, be an effective leader and role model for our students, and be able to communicate effectively with parents, pupils and staff.
A Level 1 coaching qualification is preferred and some experience of working with young people is also favoured.
The Assistant Rowing Coach will aim to inspire rowers at all levels to develop a love of rowing and to strive to achieve outstanding results on the water.
