The Get Going…Get Rowing programme is spreading it wings once again as it expands to Belfast and Tipperary.
The programme which started with a small funding stream in 2014 has expanded expodentially to most area’s of the country by linking and partnering local sports partnerships. Partnerships are now in place with the following local sports partnerships Dublin, Dun Laoighre/Rathdown, South Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Cork, Tipperary, Sligo and Waterford. Other partnerships exist with Carlow Youth Services, Waterways Ireland.
Not only that the programme in Cork has also had great success with those with inclusion rowing and Women in Sport.
The TrY (Transition year) TY coaching programme has seen 100’s of our club rowers ignite the passion for coaching and recently many of our Get Rowing graduates have been seen compete and transition to junior trials.
Clubs have been an integral partnership in the programme as we all work together to expand our membership base and make our clubs available and accessible to all. #wearerowingireland
