The 2015 Irish Indoor Rowing Championships (IIRC) will take place on Saturday 24th January in the UL Arena, Limerick.
Registration closes on Wednesday 14th January and you can register here.
The list of events to be held on the day are available here, with 2000m, 1000m & 500m individual races, as well as 2000m team relays, all from ages 11-70+ years.
The IIRC is also part of the trialling process for Junior, U23 & Senior athletes aiming to be selected for the Rowing Ireland High-Performance squad. Those athletes need to ascertain their required weight and drag factors, which is available here, ensuring they make the weight if lightweight (72kg for lightweight men, 58.5kg for lightweight women).
If your club has Adaptive or Para-Rowing under development the IIRC also offers three categories (as per FISA descriptions: LTA, TA & AS) for your athletes.
Just a reminder that each erg is allowed one coxswain or coach to encourage competitors through their piece, although they must not alter the drag factor/damper at any stage during it.
Prices for entry are available on the website and a 10% discount applies to groups of ten or more. Group entries can be made using a group entry form.
Each race ergometer is taken from its box new for use at the IIRC Race series to ensure the best equipment for our competitors. Ergometers & Sliders are sold off after the event at a discount (ex VAT prices available). They are under Concept 2 warranty and have a new PM5 monitor.
