The committee of the Limerick and Schools Regatta is closely monitoring the weather forecast for the upcoming weekend.
Limerick Regatta is scheduled to proceed as planned on Saturday, April 26th. All preparations are continuing, and we look forward to welcoming clubs and crews to a great day of racing.
However, after careful consideration and in light of the adverse weather conditions forecast for Sunday, the 2025 Schools Regatta has been cancelled. This difficult decision was made with the safety of athletes, coaches, and volunteers as our top priority. Unfortunately, the predicted conditions for Sunday would not allow us to run a safe or successful regatta.
Full refunds will be issued to all schools that have already paid their entry fees.
We appreciate your understanding and support. We hope to see many of you at Limerick Regatta this Saturday and look forward to welcoming schools back for Schools Regatta 2026.
