Rowing Ireland has decided to shut the National Rowing Centre as of this morning.
Our High-Performance Athletes were previously training in isolation in the National Rowing Centre while adhering to the guidelines of the HSE and the Institute of Sport.
After the decision by the IOC to postpone the Olympics, we have decided to cease training amongst the High-Performance Team.
Rowing Ireland has now decided that closing the National Rowing Centre is in the best interest of the athletes, coaches and support staff.
We want to thank Lee Valley Golf Club for providing accommodation for our athletes during this time and to the local community for their continued support.
