New Introductory Coaching Course

Venue: Graiguenamanagh Rowing Club.
Dates: Tue 17th June 6.00pm to 9.30pm and Tue 24th June 6.00pm to 9.30pm.
Please note, this course takes two evenings to complete.

The Introductory course is aimed at those who are seventeen or older and starting coaching under guidance of an experienced coach. It is suitable for rowers with little or no coaching experience who wish to start coaching.
Also suitable for parents or other adults with no rowing background who are willing to learn and help at the club. The course gives coaches the skills,knowledge and qualification to act as an assistant to an experienced club coach. These skills are primarily around safety and welfare issues, which are fundamental to the care of people within the sport plus basic sport principles and coaching skills applied to organizing training sessions. Coaches can move on to Level 1 certification later once they build up some coaching experience.
