I hereby provide notice that the Annual General Meeting of Rowing Ireland will be held on Sunday 27th September at 12.00 noon in the Green Isle Hotel Dublin.
Relevant reports will be issued to club secretaries in due course.
In accordance with the Articles of Association the following stipulations and deadlines apply:
1 Any proposal to be put before the Annual General Meeting by any affiliated club shall be notified to the Secretary in writing not less than twenty eight (28) days before such meeting. Each proposal shall deal with one subject only.
2 Nominations for the election of President, Secretary and Treasurer can be made only by affiliated clubs and must be notified to the Rowing Ireland Office twenty one (21) clear days prior to the date of the Annual General Meeting. Nominees must be members of the Company. All candidates for election must be proposed by an affiliated club and seconded by another such club.
3 The Vice President and Branch Representative for each Province shall be elected by the affiliated clubs within such province prior to the Annual General Meeting. The names of the successful candidates in each Province must be forwarded to the Secretary at least seven (7) days prior to the Annual General Meeting.
4 The official delegate from each affiliated club must be a bona-fide member of that club and shall have written authorisation from the committee of that club signed by the Captain or Secretary, confirming that person to be the official delegate and authorised to vote on behalf of that club. The written authorisation must be presented when collecting the voting slip. On a poll every person entitled to vote shall have one vote. Voting slips can be collected on the day of the meeting between 11.30am and 12 noon sharp.
