Rowing Ireland, as part of a recruitment drive for visually impaired athletes, will be in attendance at the 2014 MayFest in Dublin this weekend.

MayFest is an annual multi-sport event, combining sports competition, “come and try” events and demo sports for athletes with visual impairments. It is organised by Vision Sports Ireland, the National Governing Body for sport and leisure activities for vision impaired people in Ireland.

Indoor rowing will take place at the ALSAA Sports Hall, near Dublin Airport, on Saturday morning (May 24th).
Participants will have the opportunity to learn the skills of rowing and test their fitness under the guidance of Joe Cunningham, Paralympic Ireland National Rowing Coach.

We encourage all clubs and rowers to bring this notice to the attention of any potential VI (Visually Impaired) candidates whether a rower, athlete or a potential athlete.

More information and application forms are available from the event website.
