The Rowing Ireland Working Group on COVID 19 met yesterday evening and have formulated a food safety sheet for Rowing Ireland Clubs and Members.
There is not a lot of scientific information about the survival of COVID-19 on the surface of open food. It is important to maintain good hygiene practices around open food and reduce the risk of contamination of the food.
To help avoid the transmission of COVID-19 through surface contact, this document outlines a number of measures that our clubs and members can take to limit the transmission of COVID-19.

We continue asking all our members to stay safe and follow HSE and NHS guidelines;
- Wash your hands properly and often
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve when you cough and sneeze
- Put used tissues into a bin and wash your hands
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
We would also encourage our members to continue to adhere to Social Distancing and keep a space of two meters between you and other people and avoid any crowded places. If you are in a public place where it is difficult to keep two meters away from others, you should wear a face covering.
Rowing Ireland will continue to update you with activities on all our social media platforms and on our website as we have done over the last few weeks.
