Schools’ Regatta 2014

The Schools’ Regatta took place in O’Briensbridge, Co. Limerick on Sunday April 27th.  This was the first time the regatta ran as a stand-alone event, having previously been incorporated as part of the Irish University Championships. The Schools’ Regatta has been held annually since 2006, with only 9 crews entered in the event in its first year.

With a full programme of events on offer for the first time, with events for crews from U23 to J14 level , this year saw an explosion in the number of entries.  315 crews competed, representing 47 schools from all four provinces.  This was the largest entry in the event’s history.

The Victor Lodorum Trophy for the best overall school was presented to Loreto Secondary School, Fermoy.
