The inaugural Swift Racing Irish Beach Sprints Championships took place last weekend, hosted by Wicklow Rowing Club at Brittas Bay. The event served as a qualification event for the 2024 World Rowing Beach Sprints Championships, which will be held in Genoa, Italy, this September.
Congratulations to all the athletes who competed at the event, especially those selected to represent Team Ireland at this year’s World Championships. This marks the beginning of their journey toward the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028, where Beach Sprints will be introduced as an Olympic event for the first time.
