The Inaugural Home International Beach sprints was held on Fife beach, St. Andrews, Edinburgh, Scotland on Saturday 20th. Eight athletes travelled over and Ireland came home with a gold medal in the Junior Men’s Scull.

Cormac Benson hailing from St Michaels Rowing Club in Limerick, took the Gold on Saturday evening in the CJM1X in style. Team Ireland ranked third overall with two second place finishes and three third place finishes along with Cormac’s win.

Sincere thanks to the volunteer boat handlers and Team on the day. The H.I.R. Committee awarded the Griffiths Award for years of voluntary service to Kieran Kerr.
