Rowing Ireland is committed to increasing women’s sustained involvement in sport as coaches, volunteers, club members, athletes, leaders, and participants from grassroots to high performance. Improved diversity can lead to positive changes in our clubs, committees, board and for our sport.

In the spirit of this commitment, we are delighted to put forward three women for the Women in Leadership Programme.

Sinead Dolan of Commercial Rowing Club

Hannah Fitch of Limerick Boat Club

Ceara O’Connor of St. Micheals Rowing Club.

This programme is delivered through a series of online interactive sessions that will develop candidates to thrive within their specific role. Several NGB’s are participating in this programme, providing a diverse mix of perspectives and knowledge to draw from.

A combination of group and individual exercises will be included, ensuring that everyone is supported in reaching their own potential.

Course content will be delivered by Leadership Experts and Consultants Lisa Clancy and Sarah O’Shea as well as guest speakers who will share their personal leadership experiences.

Rowing Ireland is delighted to introduce the Women in Sport Leadership Programme to our sport. This is a fantastic opportunity for females working in leadership roles (or hoping to progress to a leadership role) within Rowing Ireland clubs and regions e.g. committee members, officials etc. Clubs should also consider past members that may be interested in being involved in their clubs again in a club administration/leadership capacity.
