Volunteer of the Month – December

Congratulations to Brian O’Keeffe of Presentation Rowing Club for being named the December Volunteer of the Month. Brian has been a coach for the past 15 years and has been involved in every aspect of Presentation Rowing Club

Brian was nominated by Colm Keohane:

“Brian has been a coach with the Club for the past 15 years, in that time he has worn many hats; coach, launch driver, boat fixer, pep talker, trailer driver, rower, program designer and mentor, to name a few. There is nothing this man can’t do or throw his hand at for his club. With a wide variety of ages in the club, 13-19 years old, he has always known the best way to motivate the kids to become the best version of themselves. During the cold winters, he can always be found fixing equipment in the boathouse or looking to make small adjustments to give the kids an extra edge. And once regatta season starts he can be seen driving our boats up and down the country and checking every last tie personally before getting on the road. When the kids win he makes sure they know it was all down to their hardwork, and if they lose he is there to help them back up.

It is for these reasons and countless others that I nominate Brian O’Keeffe as Volunteer of the Month.”

A huge well done to Brian and a big thank you to Colm for sending his nomination.
