We are looking for volunteers to help with the following events.
Rowing Ireland 1k Classic – Sat 27th and Sun 28th June (Lough Rinn)
Rowing Championships – Fri 10th, Sat 11th and Sun 12th July (Inishcarra)
The 1K Classic and the Irish Rowing Championships are the highlight of the domestic rowing season. These events, which are both volunteer-led and volunteer delivered, require a large number of volunteers to deliver the high-quality event that our athletes deserve. This year in particular we require additional help from our clubs.
To assist in the running of the event we are looking to recruit a number of volunteers. The details of the positions are set out below. Please consider supporting Rowing Ireland by volunteering.
Launch Drivers

Marshals
Duties – Marshals to control access to the gates into the compound/slip area – only rowers and coaches allowed within the rowing compound no spectators allowed.

Event Doctor
Duties – While an ambulance and paramedics will be on-site for the duration of the event, we require a doctor on call in case we need to sign off on a crew change after a heat has been raced.
Shifts – There are morning and afternoon shifts available.
Applying – if you wish to volunteer for one of the positions, or require any additional details, please contact champs-vm@rowingireland.ie
These are unpaid volunteer positions but each volunteer will be provided with meals throughout the event and will also receive a souvenir polo-shirt.
