Today was Day 1 of the 2022 WRCC in Saundersfoot, UK. With some close races and ever changing weather conditions, it led to an extremely exciting day of racing.
The day started off with the CW1x and the weather conditions made it extremely challenging with the wind, waves and poor visibility. Things had calmed down by heat 2 which was brilliant for our Irish crews who were competing in this event. The heat was won by Janneke van der Meulen from the Netherlands by just 2.8 seconds over Miriam Sheehan from Castletownbere who rowed an incredibly strong race.
