Another fantastic day of racing unfolded in Szeged, Hungary, with two crews from Ireland taking to the water for day two of the 2024 European Championships.

It’s into the A final for the Women’s double of Fermoy RC’s Alison Bergin and Tralee RC’s Zoe Hyde. In similar fashion to yesterday’s heat, the double sat comfortably within the pack until the last 500m, where they made a push through the Swiss and Czech crews to clinch second place and secure a spot in Sunday’s A Final.

Paul O’Donovan dominated the M1x repechage, taking the lead through the 1000m mark. Paul maintained his speed towards the finish to open up clear water on the Bulgarian sculler, winning the rep and securing his spot in the A final.
