Adam is a Business Information Systems student at UCC. He started rowing in 2015 with Shandon Boat Club where he rowed for a few years while also playing rugby for his local team, but it was rowing that became the sport that stuck.

Adam’s first appearance on the Irish squad came during the COVID-19 pandemic when he was selected for the Junior European Championships in 2020. There, he became one of the first junior men in Ireland to medal at an Olympic event in the JM4x category.

In 2021, Adam won silver at the U23 World Championships in the BM4+. The following year, he secured bronze in the BM4- in Varese.
