Alison Bergin
Alison is a Sports and Exercise Management student in MTU. Alison started rowing in Fermoy rowing club as a Junior winning numerous Irish championships with the club.
Alison’s first appearance on the Irish squad was in 2020 at Junior Europeans where she raced in JW4x that came 5th.
In 2021 Alison raced the BW1x at the U23 World championships and came 9th in the her category, in 2022 she won bronze and in 2023 she won silver in this event.
In 2023, Alison raced in the W2x at the World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia alongside Zoe Hyde. The pair placed 4th their event and qualified the boat for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games
