Rowing Ireland has been granted additional funding from the COVID-19 Supplementary Funding for Sport Fund.

Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin TD, and Minister of State for Sport & the Gaeltacht, Jack Chambers TD, today announced the allocation of €5,804,828 in funding for the COVID-19 Supplementary Grant Scheme.

Rowing Ireland will receive funding from the National Governing Body Resilience Fund and additional funding for the Sports Club Resilience Fund.

Rowing Ireland’s Chief Executive Officer, Michelle Carpenter said, “We are delighted with the additional funding announced by Sport Ireland and Ministers Martin and Chambers.

We want to thank Sport Ireland and the Government for their continued support for our sport during this challenging year and look forward to an exciting 2021.”

Further information on the additional Sports Club Resilience funding received will be given to clubs that applied in January 2021.
