The second day of the 2026 Irish Coastal Rowing Championships saw outstanding performances across multiple categories, with another large crowd in attendance. Their enthusiasm and support created an electric atmosphere throughout the day.

Sunday’s racing kicked off with strong showings across the heats. Moving on to the finals, Wicklow teamed up with Curracloe to take the first title of the day in Veteran Men. Wicklow continued their winning spree to take home 5 wins across underage and adult races, and teaming up again with Curracloe to take the Junior Mens title. Courtmacsherry showed an impressive display on the water claiming many medals over the day, but the highlight was taking 1st in the Veteran Women.

Rosscarbery showed their underage’s talent across the board whilst also claiming the U12 Men & U16 Men titles. Castletownbere continued their form into today’s racing, winning the U14 Women and U14 Mixed, and also teamed up with Rosscarbery to take the Senior Ladies title. Passage West delivered a strong performance across the board, coming out on top in both the Pre-Veteran Mixed and Intermediate Ladies categories. Dunmanway’s hard work and emerging talent were on full display as they took home the Mixed U12 and Senior Mens titles.

Ballycotton continued their impressive form into today’s racing, claiming the U18 Women’s and Masters Mixed titles, before taking home the ultimate honor, Club of the Championships.

It was another hugely successful Irish Coastal Rowing Championships, hosted by Ballycotton Rowing Club. Congratulations to all the athletes on their outstanding performances, and a massive thank you to the volunteers and officials whose hard work and dedication helped make the Championships such a success.
