Rowing Ireland are delighted to announce Caitríona Mannion as the February Volunteer of the Month!
Caitríona is a highly valued volunteer in both St. Josephs RC and Galway RC. She is the Club Secretary, chief organiser and cook for Bish, who hosts a repository of information on the sport. She also spends her time as the para rowing coach in Galway RC, involved in all rowing and S&C sessions.
Caitríona’s organisation and coaching, delivered with a calm smile, is a major factor in Bish and Galway RC getting so many Galwegians involved in the sport of rowing from J14 to PR1 to masters. Without having any family member still involved in the club, Caitríona tirelessly ensures the smooth running of events in and outside the club.
Entries open for March’s award on the 11th of March so make sure to nominate your volunteers!
