Follow Margaret

Margaret is a European and World Championship medalist who has represented Ireland at two Olympic Games in the Lightweight Women’s Double Sculls (LW2x).

She competed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, placing 8th in the LW2x alongside Aoife Casey, and at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where they finished 5th. The duo secured qualification for Paris by placing 7th at the 2023 World Rowing Championships in Belgrade.

In 2024, Margaret won silver at the European Championships in the LW1x.

She claimed bronze in the LW2x at the 2022 World Rowing Championships with Aoife Casey.

At the 2020 European U23 Championships, she secured silver in the Lightweight Women’s Sculls.

Originally from Rochestown, County Cork, Margaret started rowing in 2014. She is a member of UCC Rowing Club and is currently studying Sports Studies and Physical Education with Irish.
