Konan Pazzaia
Konan started rowing at Club de l’Aviron Nyon in Switzerland as a hobby. He later became more competitive, winning silver and bronze at the Swiss championships Junior 17 and Junior 19, respectively. Subsequently, he was selected to represent Switzerland in the 4x at the Coupe de la Jeunesse in 2018 and 2019.
In 2020, Konan made the move to Queen’s University Belfast to study Biological Sciences and to join the Rowing Ireland high-performance pathway at the college.
After being selected for the Irish team, Konan won bronze in the BM2x at the U23 World Rowing Championships alongside Brian Colsh in 2022. One year later, the pair went on to win gold in the event in Plovdiv. Along with this, in 2023, Konan raced in the M4x at the World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.
