We are thrilled to announce Gemma Rocket as our Volunteer of the Month for March!
Gemma’s dedication and contributions to Athlone Boat Club have been truly outstanding. Gemma is one of the leading head coaches, summer camp leaders, committee members, and an instrumental figure in introducing new members to the club through Athlone’s Get Going Get Rowing Programme.
Gemma coaches both junior and senior members of the club, and one of her remarkable achievements includes coaching the JW16 2X, who were successful in the Irish Rowing Championship title last year.
It’s true to say that Gemma goes above and beyond in her role. Not only does she look after all the club clothes for coaches and oarspeople, but her exceptional treatment of everyone she encounters truly sets her apart. Gemma’s attitude and attention to detail are exemplary, reflecting her genuine passion for her sport, her club, and its members.
