A huge congratulations to Olderfleet Rowing Club and their five members who last week brought home a gold medal for the Master’s Ladies Quad from the British Coastal Championships.
They also won Third Place Overall in the Open category.
Olderfleet captain Barbara Johnson rowed with crew members Julie Campbell, Clare Canale and Catherine Maxwell, they were coxed by Norman Black.
“To stand on the podium in the Masters category while also finishing third overall against the very best open crews is something we’re incredibly proud of,” the club said on their social media.
With five-foot swells, relentless conditions and a field packed with outstanding crews from across Britain, the club called it one of the toughest races they’d ever faced, demanding skill, strength, teamwork and determination.
