Duneen Bay Beach in Clonakilty was the location which hosted the Ring Rowing Club Beach Sprints league last Saturday just outside Clonakilty. Spectators enjoyed 10 hours of thrilling racing under glorious conditions, featuring a wide array of age and boat categories. This fast-growing sport is rapidly gaining momentum ahead of its debut at the 2028 LA Olympic Games in Long Beach.
91 Entries from 21 Clubs around the country competed which kicked off on a Timetrialed course and then went head to head until there was one winner of each of the 14 categories.

On Sunday the Club supported the Rowing Ireland Beach Sprint Trials at the same venue.
