Rowing Ireland is running a one-day Beach Sprints upskilling course at Lough Rinn, Co. Leitrim on Sunday, 25 January. This course is open to all athletes, whether or not you have previously taken part in Beach Sprints.
The aim of the day is to help athletes become comfortable manoeuvring through a Beach Sprints course, while learning the correct techniques and tips needed to master this skill.
Session Details
There will be three sessions available throughout the day. Each session will last 90 minutes, with a maximum of 10 athletes per session to allow coaches to provide as much one-to-one feedback as possible.
Slot 1: 10:00 – 11:30
Slot 2: 12:00 – 13:30
Slot 3: 14:00 – 15:30
Athletes may select their preferred time slot; however, final groupings will be organised based on ability, age category, and gender, which may affect the slot allocated. Sessions will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
A second upskilling day will take place in the coming months, so athletes who are unavailable or not allocated a place on this occasion will have another opportunity to attend.
Please complete the form below with all required details. You will be contacted to confirm whether you have been allocated a session. Submissions needed no later than 5pm on Thursday 15th January.
Boats will be provided on the day but all athletes are asked to bring their own oars to the event.
