The Olympic Federation of Ireland announced this year’s award winners at a packed celebration event, honouring the athletes, coaches and teams who delivered exceptional performances throughout 2025.

This year’s awards highlighted the landmark achievements across Irish sport, recognising the commitment, resilience and excellence demonstrated during a season filled with major championships, Olympic qualification campaigns, and world-class competition.

The success celebrated on the night also reflected the strength of Ireland’s high-performance pathways, developed through collaboration between federations, Sport Ireland and the dedicated coaches, practitioners and staff working behind the scenes.

Each winner received The Olly, the Olympic Sport Award Trophy inspired by the Olympic torch. With more than 42,000 public votes received across the categories, judges noted that competition was exceptionally strong given the volume of outstanding international results recorded by Irish athletes this season.

Rowing Ireland was proud to see two major honours awarded to our high-performance leaders and athletes:

Coach of the Year – Dominic Casey

Team of the Year – Fintan McCarthy and Philip Doyle

These awards reflect a remarkable year for rowing and acknowledge the continued dedication, excellence and ambition driving performances on the world stage.

Rowing Ireland extends warm congratulations to all winners and nominees, and to the Olympic Federation of Ireland for hosting a memorable celebration of sporting achievement.
