Saturday, 17th May saw the second round of the Waterways Ireland ‘Row for It League’ take place at Castleconnell Regatta. With sunshine and soaring temperatures, it was a perfect day for racing and the athletes delivered.

Castleconnell Boat Club took the top spot in both the Men’s and Women’s J14 4x categories. Shannon Rowing Club surged ahead in the Men’s J15 4x, doubling their points and taking the lead. It’s still all to play for as the league heads to Carlow Regatta on 1st June. Carlow Regatta has now added J13 events for both men and women, an excellent opportunity for J13 athletes to get points on the board.

Rowing Ireland would like to once again thank Waterways Ireland for their continued support of the league. It’s fantastic to see so many young juniors getting involved and enjoying the sport.
