We want to wish Shauna Fitzsimons a huge congratulations on winning the Student Sport Ireland Leadership award. The Event of the Year Award acknowledges the influential contribution of Students in organising a college event during the 2021/22 academic year for 3rd Level Students.
Each institution is invited to nominate one event that they feel deserves the award. This year, Shauna was nominated for this award by UCD Sport for her work done on the University Championships held 09/04/2022. Shauna was the chair of the championship committee and did an incredible job of running this event.
Rowing Ireland are delighted to see her hard work being recognised this way and we look forward to continuing working with her as the incoming captain of UCDBC.
