The following survey is part of a larger piece of work being conducted by Rowing Ireland to examine, inform and support teenage girls participation in rowing in Ireland.
As recent research shows, teenage girls are not staying in sport beyond age 16 – you can read more about the reasons for this in the work done by Sport Ireland HERE. We are committed to ensuring we can support girls to stay in rowing, rowing coaching, umpiring and leadership. Rowing Ireland plan to provide a high quality, evidence informed workshop for coaches following this survey and this will also be complimented by other initiatives such as our She Ergs campaign and a Teenage Girls Leadership course.
The following survey is intended to be completed by junior girls who are members of affiliated Rowing Ireland clubs. Their parents must complete the first question of the survey before letting them complete the rest. All data will be anonymized and you can read our privacy notice HERE.
This survey closes on the 20th of June so please fill in and pass it on before then. Your support and feedback is appreciated.
