On May 12th, Stella Maris Rowing Club hosted an introduction to Coastal Rowing and Beach Sprints event. Utilising the fantastic facilities at the Stella Maris Rowing Club, athletes were able to spend time in doubles and singles, getting to know the intricacies of navigating the beach sprints course.
The highlight of the day was seeing the Stella Maris crews along with the beginner crews taking out the traditional East Coast skiffs for a session on the Dublin Bay. The traditional rowing season is part of the fabric of the Ringsend community and it is truly a sport for all ages and abilities. The event was a great success and was made even better by the fantastic weather which lasted throughout the day.
