Rowing Ireland had two representatives take part in the 2022 Virtual World Rowing Coaches Conference.
Rowing Ireland’s Chief Executive Officer Michelle Carpenter facilitated and Women in Sport Lead Claire Lambe presented at this year’s conference.
Claire developed the Women in Coaching Toolkit for World Rowing last year. The Women in Coaching Toolkit provides support for national federations to play, recruit, develop and retain women in coaching.
Rowing Ireland’s CEO, Michelle Carpenter, was the lead facilitator on the panel discussion at the 2022 Virtual World Rowing Coaching Conference. A discussion was led around the highly influential role of the coach in establishing a supportive safe sport environment for everyone involved: coaches, staff and athletes.
The conference started on Saturday 29th January and will finish on Wednesday 2nd 2022
