It’s fifth for Ireland in the PR2 Mix2x in World Cup II.

Katie O’Brien and Steven McGowan came out on the short end of an extremely tight race this morning. Less than four seconds separated second place from fifth place, with Ireland within touching distance of the medals.

Finishing in a time of 8:13.83, it was the fastest the Galway duo have raced in recent events. Again the crew from Ireland continue to improve race on race and it’ll be an exciting qualification event when they race next at the World Championships in September.
