The 2025 Event Roadshow due to take place before Christmas has now been rescheduled to take place over the next few weeks.
Roadshow dates:
- January 30th – 7:30pm – Limerick
- February 1st – 7:30pm – Galway
- February 6th – 7:30pm – Café Muireann, Cork Boat Club
- February 7th – 7:30pm – Neptune RC, Dublin
- February 8th – 7:30pm – Methodist College, Belfast
The purpose of these meetings is to get feedback from the Rowing Ireland membership on the structure of the 2025 flatwater calendar. From initial review and working group discussions, the following are potential options that could be incorporated into the domestic calendar.
- Split the Championships into two events: ‘big boat’ and ‘small boat’ events
- Split the Championships into two events: ‘Club and Inter Championships’ and ‘Senior and Junior Championships’
- Run the Championships in the second week of August
