In a huge weekend for international U23, senior and junior rowing, 80 green jerseys will take to the waters proudly representing Ireland in regattas in Germany, Switzerland and England.
The 2026 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Duisburg, Germany, begins on July 23rd and will run through July 26, the 11 athletes competing there are pictured above. Sixteen junior athletes will row at the Coupe de la Jeunesse in Lucerne, Switzerland, 25–26 July. More than 40 crews of 50 senior and junior athletes will compete at the Home International Rowing Regatta at the Royal Albert Docks in London on 25 July.
Representing Ireland on the international stage is a significant achievement and reflects the commitment, dedication and hard work shown by each athlete throughout the season. We congratulate all those selected and wish them every success as they compete against some of the best young rowers in the world.
Rowing Ireland also extends its sincere thanks to the club coaches, international team coaches, team managers, support staff, volunteers and families whose dedication, support and long hours alongside rivers throughout Ireland have helped our athletes reach this stage. Their commitment behind the scenes plays a vital role in preparing our crews for international competition, and we wish everyone traveling with the Irish teams a safe and enjoyable weekend.
