The championship committee are delighted to announce exciting new developments for the upcoming 1K Classic and Irish Rowing Championships.
Like previous years, a dedicated onsite commentary team will operate from the balcony, bringing the energy, excitement, and race day atmosphere directly to those attending the event.
For the first time, the Irish Rowing Championships will feature a dedicated livestream commentary team, providing expert analysis and athlete insights to bring viewers closer to the action. Clubs will also be invited to submit coach names and additional information via a form to help enhance the commentary (more to follow).
To support this enhanced coverage, Rowing Irelands Championship Production Team are currently seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable commentators for both the 1K Classic and the Irish Rowing Championships.
We encourage all interested individuals to gain hands-on experience. Candidates will be asked to submit a short sample commentary recording as part of the application process.
In addition to this, the production team are also looking for guest commentators to join the dedicated commentary team for the Championships livestream for a race or two. High-performance athletes, coaches, and former international athletes are welcome to join and share their knowledge, along with previous Championship winners providing insights into their respective events.
