The President of Carrick on Shannon Rowing Club Mr. Gabriel Cox, the Regatta Committee and the members of Carrick Rowing Club look forward to welcoming all our visiting clubs, members and supporters to our Sprint Regatta to close out the 2021-2022 season.

After all the heavy lifting of training for the ‘Champs’ in Cork this is an opportunity for some great rowing over a less arduous distance. None the less our 3 lane 450m course will provide some thrilling racing over the course of the day from 8.30am through to 6.30pm.

Our Carrick course provides some brilliant opportunities for spectators to get up close and personal with the races. The Carrick Boardwalk provides a magnificent view of the start while the Quays offer perfect views of the finish line. Our clubhouse nearby will be serving all manner of breakfast, lunches and snacks all day to keep rowers, coaches and supporters fully fueled for the days exertions. Our club grounds is also a great place to catch up with old friends and acquaintances, discuss the latest rowing news including the U23 Worlds and also reflect on a great year of rowing. Our Stewards, Parents and Club members will be at hand to cater for all your needs to ensure you have a great days racing, fun and craic. We are supported as always by our local authority Leitrim County Council, Waterways Ireland, Leitrim Civil Defence and an army of volunteers for the day. We know you will have a great day.

For anyone arriving early on Saturday evening you are welcome to join club members and the Carrick on Shannon community at our boat naming ceremonies for two of our new boats.

Have a great day at Carrick Regatta one and all and remember ‘Winning Medals Is Good, Racing Is Better, Loving The Sport Is Best!’
