Day 2 of the Irish Rowing Championships saw 20 new titles won under sunny skies at the National Rowing Centre in Farran Woods.
The business of racing was the order of the day. Crews were well-used to the flow of time trials and heats, all hoping to clinch a spot in their finals. Which were fiercely contended, and in at least one case, a photo finish. When not on the water, competitors sought much-needed shade and attempted to stay cool in the blazing sunshine, helped marginally by a breeze that wasn’t a feature on Friday.
