Crews from clubs across the island, delivered impressive performances at the 2025 European Rowing Coastal and Beach Sprint Championships, held from the 9th–12th October, along the stunning Mediterranean coast in Antalya, Türkiye.
Teams claimed a total of three medals: two silver and one bronze.
Silver in the Coastal Men’s Double Sculls (CCM2x) went to Noel Creedon and Neil O’Sullivan of Ring Rowing Club.
In the Club Coastal Women’s Coxed Quadruple Sculls (CCW4x+), a silver medal was secured by the composite crew from Castletownbere, Kilmacsimon, and Wicklow (all pictured above).
The bronze medal, in the Club Coastal Women’s Coxed Quadruple Sculls (CCW4x+) went to the crew representing Kincasslagh, Bann, and Lagan (all pictured above).
Overall, athletes from eight clubs across the island of Ireland competed in five events: CCM1x, CCW4x+, CCM1x, CCW4x+, and CCM2x.
It was fantastic to see such a broad club representation and such outstanding results at this European event. The achievements are a testament to the skill, dedication, and teamwork of Ireland’s coastal rowing community.
