Rowing Ireland is proud to announce a new and transformative partnership with F4energy, a leading Irish provider of renewable energy solutions, who joins us as our Official Sustainability Partner for the next two years. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in our ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable development in Irish rowing.

A Shared Vision for a Greener Future
Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Limerick, F4energy brings over two decades of experience in delivering energy efficiency and solar power solutions to the commercial and industrial sectors across Ireland. Their innovative four-step philosophy—measure energy use, invest in efficiency, implement solar solutions, and maximise system potential—aligns seamlessly with Rowing Ireland’s sustainability ambitions.

This shared vision sets the foundation for a partnership that aims to reduce our environmental impact, promote clean energy solutions, and inspire a culture of sustainability throughout the rowing community.

Powering the National Rowing Centre
At the heart of this partnership is a flagship project: the installation of a solar energy system at the National Rowing Centre (NRC) in Cork. This initiative will significantly cut the NRC’s carbon footprint and reduce long-term operational energy costs, while standing as a national example of renewable energy in action within sport.

With extensive experience delivering systems ranging from 20kWe to 800kWe, F4energy’s technical expertise ensures that the NRC will benefit from a high-performance, future-proof solar solution that reflects the values of innovation, resilience, and responsibility.

Supporting Grassroots and Lifelong Participation
F4energy’s support also extends to the rowing community at large. As part of the agreement, the company will sponsor the 1K Classic for Juniors & Masters regatta, reflecting a joint commitment to supporting participation at all levels—from aspiring young athletes to lifelong rowers.

Looking Ahead
This partnership is more than a sponsorship—it is a shared mission to champion sustainability in Irish sport. We are delighted to welcome F4energy into the Rowing Ireland community and look forward to working together to advance our environmental goals.

Together, we row toward a cleaner, greener future.
