Rowing Ireland and Get Going Get Rowing are looking for new coaches in the Cork area.
This is an ideal opportunity for 3rd level students in the Cork area with a rowing background to join our coaching team. You will be offered up to 8 to 10 hours of flexible coaching weekly.

Being part of the coaching team for the Get Going Get Rowing program will provide valuable experience for coaches who wish to encourage physical activity for secondary school students. You will also get plenty of opportunities to show the participants what a fantastic sport rowing really is. It will be a great initiative to help your Club and Rowing Ireland increase their base membership and help the sport develop as well as bringing more visibility to the sport.
All necessary training will be provided and is free of charge to coaches.
Coaching requirements
- Be available to work flexibly during school hours in Cork city/county.
- Agree to be Garda vetted
- Attend a briefing in their area
- Have a minimum Rowing Ireland introductory course or be willing to complete one when the course becomes available
- Be outgoing and enjoy working with young inexperienced athletes
