HerOutdoors is a Sport Ireland led initiative to encourage girls and women all over Ireland to get out in our great outdoors and Rowing Ireland is delighted to take part each year, encouraging clubs to run female focussed events such as a learn to row day, rowing tour or adventurous day out (row to a picnic spot perhaps) or a camp. There are no rules except to make it an inclusive, fun and challenging day on the water for the women or girls involved! If you need support with the administration of the event, contact Ceara at womeninsport@rowingireland.ie for advice.
Thanks to Sport Ireland, Rowing Ireland has some funding to support clubs to host such events. Simply fill in the attached form outlining your plans and what you may need support with by August 6th to womeninsport@rowingireland.ie and you will be notified by August 7th with details if successful.
