The high-performance trial will go ahead this Sunday, October 22nd. The trial will involve one 6km time trial in the morning and a second 6km in the afternoon.

Event Information:

Saturday

  • NRC will be open from 3 pm to 6 pm for rigging. Gates will close at 6 pm sharp.
  • Racks will be provided to store boats outside the compound. It is each individual’s responsibility to ensure that boats are securely tied down.
  • As it stands, the course will be closed for training on Saturday due to the poor weather forecast.

Sunday

  • NRC will open at 7:00 am.
  • Safety briefing at 7:30am outside the boat bays.
  • The course will not be open for a pre-paddle.
  • Weight checks will begin at 7:00 am approximately (subject to race time confirmation).
  • Time Trial 1 will start at 8:30 am.
  • Athletes arriving with boats on Sunday morning are asked to rig boats outside the compound and bring their boat/oars into the compound for their allocated racing time.

Notes:

Athletes must race in a club one-piece and use club-colored oars if possible.

Athletes should be prepared to race in challenging conditions. It is the coach’s responsibility to ensure that athletes are of a standard to handle the conditions.

If a boat is being scratched, please email leah@rowingireland.ie by 4 pm today, Friday, October 20th; a racing schedule will be posted after this time.

We strongly encourage athletes to have their boats rigged on Saturday.
