Rowing Ireland is delighted to announce the selected members of the 2026 Rowing Ireland Youth Commission.
The Youth Commission has been established to ensure that the voices of young people are represented within Rowing Ireland. The Commission will provide insight, feedback, and ideas on youth participation, development pathways, and engagement, while working collaboratively with Rowing Ireland leadership and key stakeholders.
Following the completion of the selection process, the following members have been appointed to the 2026 Youth Commission:

Cace Macmillan – Shannon Rowing Club
Johnny Balmer – Bann Rowing Club
Aoibhinn Cotter – Lee Valley Rowing Club
Senan Devane – St. Joseph’s College Rowing Club
Katie Fitzpatrick – Waterford Boat Club
Peter Devins – Lee Rowing Club
Ailbhe Morgan – Neptune Rowing Club
Maeve McLoughlin – Wicklow and Garda Rowing Club
Conor Daly – Ring Rowing Club
Hannah Butler – Carrick on Shannon Rowing Club

About the Youth Commission
The 2026 Rowing Ireland Youth Commission will:
· Provide a platform for young rowers to share their views and experiences
· Support youth involvement, participation, and retention across affiliated clubs
· Strengthen communication between youth members and Rowing Ireland leadership
· Contribute to initiatives supporting development pathways and athlete welfare
· Offer insight into Rowing Ireland’s governance, organisational, and performance structures
